    MedComms Networking - 04 June 2024

Are you feeling excited? I am. Only 7 sleeps before #MedComms Day 2024. Our 13th annual celebration! What are you planning to do on 12 June 2024? As always, we start with the sun rising over Auckland, New Zealand and finish with it setting over San Francisco, USA. The idea each year on #MedComms Day is simply that everyone mostly does their own thing. So none of us really knows quite what will happen overall. That's part of the fun of it. The more variety and surprises the better. These days it's largely a social media event using hashtag #MedComms but special events - online and in-person - happen across the time zones. Details are at

For instance, these events are all online and free to join for everyone...

The Great #MedComms Workbook Bake Off - all freelancers welcome, not just Workbook subscribers, led by Eleanor Steele

See full details and registration for events at Go #MedComms!

Meanwhile, a large crowd is gathering for tomorrow's free #MedComms webinar when we will talk about Pharma Careers: Pivoting into Pharma from MedComms with Sian Kneller (GSK), Kate Gavljak (J&J), Faiz Kermani (Roche) and Abigail Stevenson (Chiesi). Join us. Everyone's welcome.

Here's news of some other relevant upcoming activities I've spotted that might also be of interest to members of this community...

Any thoughts about last week's Opinion article from MM+M, AI is breaking the agency business model: A tool that promises efficiency and automation is counterintuitive to a time and materials business?

The ISMPP Artificial Intelligence (AI) Task Force has provided answers to questions received from ISMPP members at the AI plenary session and workshops at the ISMPP 20th Annual Meeting, April 28-May 1, 2024

The widespread reorganisation across the MedComms community continues, with today's announcement from AMICULUM that they are bringing together all their family of agencies under the one brand.
