LUNCHTIME CAREERS EVENT - 1 JULY - OXFORD

The event was a great success again - an enthusiastic audience of post-docs and final year DPhil students from the biomedical sciences departments within and around Oxford Universty met with a number medical writing and communications professionals for a highly engaging session which presented medical writing as an attractive career option.

We explained how areas of the UK such as Oxfordshire, London and Cheshire are home to numerous leading medical communications agencies that serve the global pharmaceutical industry... and they’re crying out for good medical writers!

These agencies are looking for individuals with:

  • a doctorate in a bioscience subject, ideally post-doctoral research experience
  • a genuine enthusiasm for science and its application to the world of medicine
  • a flair for writing about science and medicine
  • the ability to work independently within a small-team environment.

Medical writing can literally take you all over the world and provides attractive long-term career pathways.
