MedComms Networking is a not-for-profit initiative building on the work of Peter Llewellyn which seeks to unite individuals and organisations involved in delivering health information. We will do this by listening and by delivering a weekly newsletter and regular online and in-person events. Our group welcomes writers, scientists, editors, educators, project managers, filmmakers, medical journalists, healthcare professionals, researchers, academics, and patient advocates from around the world to join us. The aim is to inform, educate and advance our profession and, ultimately, support patient care.

    LUNCH AND LEARN - 18 JUNE 2015 - OXFORD

Meeting the challenge of commissioning digital projects

The next in our Lunch and Learn series of events, the objective being for a small group to meet informally for open discussion around a specialist topic of interest, and along the way to stimulate ideas for larger open events. We're going to run a series of these workshops focusing on embracing digital solutions with an emphasis on practical case histories to explore how intelligent commissioning and delivery of projects can be cost-effective and successfully meet intended communications needs. The plan is for each workshop to inform the agenda of the next one, as we explore specific solutions and technologies that might have a place in MedComms programmes.

Venue: Sadler Building, The Oxford Science Park, Robert Robinson Avenue, Oxford OX4 4GE [DIRECTIONS]

    Timing: 12.00-14.00 includes working lunch
