MedComms Networking is a not-for-profit initiative building on the work of Peter Llewellyn which seeks to unite individuals and organisations involved in delivering health information. We will do this by listening and by delivering a weekly newsletter and regular online and in-person events. Our group welcomes writers, scientists, editors, educators, project managers, filmmakers, medical journalists, healthcare professionals, researchers, academics, and patient advocates from around the world to join us. The aim is to inform, educate and advance our profession and, ultimately, support patient care.
Please sign up to receive our Newsletter and information about future events.

ROUNDERS TOURNAMENT - 1 JULY 2012 - ALDERLEY PARK
2nd Annual MedComms Rounders Tournament and Family Fun Day
The success of last year's tournament had led to much anticipation in the build up to this, the second MedComms Rounders Tournament and Family Fun Day which took place at the AZ leisure club in Cheshire on a not very warm, not very sunny day. It was attended by an enthusiastic crowd of around 100 players, supporters and children who watched a close fought tournament between six teams;
Once again we ensured the little (and not so little) people enjoyed the day with free entertainment icluding balloon sculptures, face painting, bouncy castles and a BBQ.
In the end the winners were McCann Complete Medical - A Team who defeated The Prime Medical Group in the final match. Third and fourth positions were taken by McCann Complete Medical - B Team and Fishawack respectively. Athena Meetings & Events and inScience Communications have both confirmed that their training schedule for next year has already started!
That's two years running for McCann Complete Medical so will next year make it a hat trick? Time will tell.
We owe a big thanks to all the sponsors and, in particular to local organiser Ryan Woodrow of Aspire Scientific.
