MedComms Networking - 27 July 2021
Hi
I'm giving this weekly newsletter and the webinars a rest in August. "Normal" service will resume on 7 September. Meanwhile I'm here throughout as needed, of course, if I can help with anything or if you've suggestions for future activities to benefit our global MedComms Networking community.
We will, of course, restart the weekly #MedComms webinars in September. So give me a shout if you'd like to suggest topics and speakers, or to volunteer to get directly involved.
We ended the current series of events with a MedComms Forum, which we ran as an extended webinar. Jon Fisher (Veeva Systems) helped put together a very useful meeting. Veeva for MedComms agencies - a deep dive included three excellent sessions that you can now view as follows...
Content Landscape and the Vault Platform (PromoMats and MedComms) - an overview from Jon, and then Amy Doyle (Langland), Jill Kaige (JK MedComms Assistance) and Graham Schulz (Fishawack Health) joined the panel to talk about using the Vault platform in practice [Watch the video here].
Interactive Content for MedComms - James Harper (twentyeightb) talked about functional content, its value to medical field teams and how careful content creation can deliver key insights through the use of analytics [Watch the video here].
Looking Forward, What you Should Know about Veeva and the Vault Platform - topics covered include Vault as a Digital Asset Management solution, the introduction and use of Modular Content, and user interface changes coming this summer [Watch the video here].
Jon is keen to hear from anyone in MedComms with questions or feedback about the Veeva services and hopes to run more follow up activity in the Autumn. Maybe we can get more of the practical questions directly addressed in a workshop type format. Email Jon, anytime, at jon.fisher@veeva.com
You'll also find those videos, along with many, many more, at NetworkPharma.tv.
So, it's been an interesting year and there's plenty more to come.
How and when will working practices settle down? People refer to "hybrid working", though I'm not sure how many know quite what they mean by it yet. One thing's for sure, companies can no longer simply differentiate themselves by offering employees ever-more "flexible" contracts. We're all flexible now. Whether everyone likes it or not is a different matter.
It's interesting to see some of what's been published in the past week...
The great healthcare communications reset from the Healthcare Communications Association
The future of work has been just around the corner for some time... from Ashfield MedComms
Straight outta lockdown - what's next for flexible working? from Cuttsy and Cuttsy
Meanwhile, we've now passed 400 responses to our own survey Working practice: Assessing the impact of COVID-19 on current and future patterns. Last year's survey (read the peer-reviewed publication here) made it to 759 responses. We're hoping for similar numbers again. Please join in. Please help spread the word. Otherwise I have to keep on nagging! The results will be shared in September.
Stay well, everyone.
Cheers
