MedComms Networking - 21 December 2021
Hi
It's a wrap! I'm done with this year. All being well, though, I can now see me making it to celebrate 15 years of MedComms Networking in January. So, be ready to make some #MedComms noise next month.
It's been a long, hard 15 years, but often interesting. Kudos please, to the Sponsors. Without them, none of this could happen in the way it does.
And, sometimes, we do something that I think is really interesting.
Last week's #MedComms Forum, Succeeding in MedComms, despite what life throws at us, was intensely thought-provoking. I hope you'll take time away from Netflix to listen to the very personal stories told by David Gudgeon (DG Associates), LisaMarie McLane (Ashfield MedComms) and Mark Palmer (Freelance writer) and to think about the advice and insights from Jacques Tamin (Occupational Physician), Karen Alderson (AMICULUM), Sharon Frost (Oxford PharmaGenesis). Thanks for the inspiration, Katia Chrysostomou (Performance Coach) and for your help organising it, Steven Walker (St Gilesmedical London and Berlin). We all have "stuff" going on in our lives, which is sometimes easy to forget, as deadlines loom. How we handle these challenges as individuals, as teams and as organisation defines us.
For now, please bear with me while I recover from the non-stop weekly routine of #MedComms webinars. We'll take a break here for Christmas and start them again on Wednesday 2 February 2022 when Len Starnes (Digital Healthcare Consultant) will lead a discussion about Medical Society Conferences: What we learnt in 2021, what might happen in 2022. As always, everyone's welcome. Please join us. Please help spread the word and encourage all relevant others to join us, too.
You'll see new webinar titles and speakers being added as details are confirmed, at MedCommsNetworking.com. Suggestions for future speakers and topics are always welcomed. Why not volunteer yourself?
Meanwhile, to catch up on the recordings from the many previous #MedComms webinars, along with much more, please visit NetworkPharma.tv. There are now nearly 400 relevant videos, freely available, from anywhere at any time. Don't forget, I'm always happy to include relevant, freely accessible recordings from other people and organisations. Frankly there don't seem to be many out there, but I'm keen to hear about any you know of.
And we end the year with record levels of job vacancies at all levels posted from across the #MedComms community at NextMedCommsJob.com - #MedComms is booming!
Importantly, the FirstMedCommsJob services have, I know, helped a host of individuals find their way into the business. Good luck to you all. There's lots more coming!
Finally, a shout out to the freelancers. It's been a heck of year! More than 200 work opportunities went out to the subscribers of the MedComms Workbook and we've had some excellent discussions along the way.
So, stay well, everyone. And safe. Look out for each other. These are crazy times. Let's end by simply wishing ourselves, each and every one of us, the very best for 2022 - whatever life throws at us next.
Cheers
