    WEEKLY COMMENT

Every Tuesday we send out the MedComms Networking email newsletter to subscribers. It includes brief commentary on what we're doing and planning, and highlights relevant news to encourage sharing of information, experiences and ideas and to stimulate discussion. The text and links included below, by definition, were accurate on the day of publication, but may then become outdated.

    MedComms Networking - 19 July 2022

    Hi

If you were paying attention last week, you may be surprised to get today's newsletter. Sorry. I was going to take a break for a few weeks. Indeed, I am still taking a break from the newsletter, after today, but it's been a busy few days and I wanted to share a couple of news snippets.

First, a big shout out to Francis Namouk for bringing Healthware MedComms on board yesterday as a new Sponsor for all this free MedComms Networking activity. Without the support of our Sponsors, none of this could happen in the way it does. Kudos to them.

Second, we hit a few milestones this week for our unique new careers event, Working in and around #MedComms, 19 September 2022 at Heathrow.

Importantly, we have now filled the exhibition space with 32 top employers from across MedComms and the associated businesses. All the following will be present....

AMICULUM, Ashfield Health, Aspire Scientific, AXON, Bioscript, Certara Insight, Costello Medical, dna Communications, Edelman, Envision Pharma Group, Fishawack Health, Healthware Medcomms, Helios Global Group, imc group, inScience Communications, Inspired Science, IPG Health Medical Communications, IQVIA, Langland, LiNK Health Group, Lumanity, NexGen Healthcare Communications, nspm, Nucleus Global, Omnicom Health Group, OPEN Health, Oxford PharmaGenesis, Prime Global, Red Nucleus, Syneos Health Communications, touchIME and Virgo Health.

    That's quite a line up.

And this morning we reached 150 delegates who have signed up via the web site. That feels like a useful number to have reached already. Clearly, we want lots more.

Please share details of the event with anyone you know who wants to learn more about the work we do.

If you work in and around MedComms and want to join us, then do so. You don't have to be exhibiting to attend. It's going to be fun. And quite unlike anything we've ever seen in this sector before.

Over the UK Summer time, I will now take a break from the regular stuff, the newsletters and the Wednesday webinars. But, all being well, we'll run a variety of online activities at random times to provide more information and insights into MedComms careers as we build up to the event at Heathrow.

On that note, join us for what should be an insightful webinar at 15.00 UK time on 1 August, Attracting diverse talent into MedComms. We will be joined by Tobi Ogundipe, Founder and CEO of DIVERSE., an organisation that helps employers hire diverse young talent from a community of Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority UK students and graduates. Tobi will be joined by a panel of specialists from MedComms companies to discuss the challenges and possible solutions that apply to our business. On our panel we will be joined by Peter Griffiths (BiosScript) and others to be confirmed. And we answer questions from the audience.

    We've lots more coming.

To ensure you know what's happening, please read and share our emails, follow #MedComms on your favourite social media platform and add your thoughts to the conversation. Or contact me directly any time.

Please help spread the word and encourage all relevant others to join us. Go #MedComms!...

Stay well, everyone. Stay safe. Look out for each other.

    Cheers
