MedComms Networking - 13 December 2022
Hi
It's a wrap! I'm nearly done with this year. Indeed, I'm nearly 'done', full stop! It's been a long year. So, I'm drawing a line this week. I'll be around throughout the holiday period if I can help, but we'll take a short rest from non-stop webinars, newsletters and more. Thanks everyone for your support throughout. As always, I'd welcome feedback and any thoughts about what more we can do. I'm always happy to chat.
Importantly, a huge "THANKS" goes to the Sponsors of MedCommsNetworking.com because, frankly, without them none of this would be possible. Kudos.
The #MedComms webinars are always interesting. Last week's provided lively discussion with the medical publishers and lots of chat about plain language summaries. My thanks to Hamish McDougall (SAGE Publishing), Jan Seal-Roberts (Adis, Springer Healthcare), Kelly Soldavin (Taylor and Francis) and Joanne Walker (Becaris Publishing) for joining in. The recording, of course, is freely available at NetworkPharma.tv along with many more.
We've already got some great topics and speakers lining up for next year and we'll be online at 12.00 UK time every Wednesday through to the Summer, all being well. Make it a regular date. Gather the team around, share some cake and use the webinars as the basis for some valuable team discussions. Details will always be kept bang up-to-date at MedCommsNetworking.com.
We start the new series of regular Wednesday #MedComms webinars on 01 February with HEOR Writing: The Ins and Outs of Value Communications featuring Beth Lesher and Larry Radican of OPEN Health. Spread the word. Everyone's welcome.
In parallel, I plan to do much more in 2023 to support the wannabes via our FirstMedCommsJob service and we'll aim to run many more FirstMedCommsJob webinars. #MedComms is booming and there are plenty of opportunities for entry-level job seekers. But it's very competitive and the wealth of insights we provide into working life in and around MedComms can help folks get started. Again, please give me a shout if you have any thoughts about what more we can do, whether you're a wannabe yourself or you're offering opportunities for new recruits to get started.
It won't all be online. There's still nothing quite like meeting in person. And yes, plans are already being mooted for a follow up to last month's very successful Working in and around #MedComms meeting at Heathrow. For now, watch this space!
So, how to end 2022?
Join us tomorrow, Wednesday 14 December, for a free webinar, Forgotten Patients, Overlooked Diseases and Lost Health Solutions. Not our webinar, but an important one we are pleased to support.
Finally, on Thursday, we've our annual end of year huddle for #MedComms Freelancers and guests. Primarily intended for subscribers to the MedComms workbook service, but, in the spirit of the moment, any other freelancers and interested parties are welcome to join us and raise a glass to wish ourselves a good 2023. Silly seasonal hats and/or jumpers are a must. I find my fun where I can!
Stay safe, everyone.
Cheers
