MedComms Networking - 04 January 2022
Hi
So, we made it to 15! There were times I didn't think I would.
The global MedComms Networking community is 15 years old this month. Time flies when you're having fun! I'm going to dig out some old photos and share them widely over the coming days. If you have any, please do the same. Use hashtag #MedComms so everyone can enjoy them on whichever is your favourite social media platform. Let's make some noise together for #MedComms this month.
Please join in celebrating by reflecting on what has happened to you over the past 15 years, why you work in #MedComms and what excites you about what's ahead, by sharing your own #MedComms story.
I've kicked off with a short video here, reflecting on how it all started in January 2007 at the QI Club in Oxford and squarely blaming Graham Piercy (the Founder of Caudex) for all that came after! What are you up to nowadays, Graham?
[Download the Storyvine App now and simply follow the instructions]
The idea is keep it simple, have a bit of fun and make some positive noise about #MedComms throughout January.
And to keep it natural and "authentic"!
I've no idea how many of you I can get to join in, but hopefully a useful number (do feel free to encourage your own contacts to join in). The more the merrier. And I am hoping the way we have set it up allows everyone plenty of freedom to take their own individual approaches and benefit from some self-promotion!
So...
1 - register for the App here
2 - then as guided, download the App on your mobile device and sign in using the same email address so it recognises you
3 - click the My MedComms Story template and follow instructions
Aim for a 4-5 minute video at most
When you submit it, don't worry, it's not published anywhere straight away! You'll get an email so you can review it.
And only when you say yes will I post anything live.
At this stage just give it a go and shout if you have any problems. We'll work it out together and build some momentum by 25 January, which is THE DAY.
I admit, I'll be disappointed if some agencies don't take rather more creative approaches. I'm watching out for stories of the agencies over the past 15 years, as much as the stories of individuals from across the global community.
So, stay well, everyone. And safe. Look out for each other. These are still crazy times. Once more, let's wish ourselves, each and every one of us, the very best for 2022 - whatever life throws at us next. If you haven't had the chance to watch the recording from our last event of 2021, Succeeding in MedComms, despite what life throws at us, then do take some time out. The panellists shared some very thought-provoking stories and insights.
There's lots more coming. Details are always kept bang up-to-date here.
Cheers
