Every Tuesday we send out the MedComms Networking email newsletter to subscribers. It includes brief commentary on what we're doing and planning, and highlights relevant news to encourage sharing of information, experiences and ideas and to stimulate discussion. The text and links included below, by definition, were accurate on the day of publication, but may then become outdated.
MedComms Networking - 26 June 2018
We had an excellent Lunch and Learn workshop with the Veeva team last week. A really interesting and open discussion that clearly demonstrated the very significant educational "opportunity" that exists as Veeva migrates everyone from Zinc to their PromoMats and Medcomms project approval solutions by the end of next year. It's clear a lot of people in MedComms are spending a lot of time, sometimes battling quite hard, working with these systems. So, a huge thanks to all who joined in from all sides. Hopefully Veeva will now follow up that initiative with us. I'll keep you informed.
In the meantime they provided some useful links to share as follows:
Veeva and U - Vault PromoMats Innovation Hub - monthly webinars are posted here along with the registration links
Vault Online Help - here you will find a dedicated Zinc Migrations Tab which includes a number of How to Videos as well as a Terminology Glossary and Transition Guide.
Veeva LinkedIn Community Groups:
- Promotional Compliance Group
- DAM Life Sciences Community
And if you want to follow up directly and ask for more information they've recommended that you contact Stacy Hardie, Associate Director, Content Partners at Veeva Europe on email email@example.com.
I hope this helps.
Importantly, note Stacy will be at next week's Brunch Club, on Wednesday 4 July, providing an Industry Update: Zinc to Vault PromoMats. So, for the many who couldn't join us last week, that's another excellent opportunity to get up to speed and most importantly meet and spend time with a key contact at Veeva who can help you a lot in future.
All being well, at next week's Brunch Club event we'll also hear from:
Jackie Marchington, Director of Global Operations at Caudex and member of GAPP, talking about The Global Alliance of Publication Professionals (GAPP): What we did. How we did it. Why we retired.
And from Daniel Clifton, Managing Director, Paramount Recruitment, who will review the results of the recent Healthcare Communications Workforce Insight Survey 2018, the full report of which is due out very shortly.
As usual, at the Brunch Club we'd welcome an audience, and lunch is on me again! If you've time to join us then it's so much more useful to be there and meet the speakers face-to-face. If not, the webcasts will be posted at NetworkPharma.tv as quickly as possible afterwards.
Meanwhile, tomorrow we're at the University of Westminster for our open Careers event. It's a sell-out with 120 registered delegates and more than 50 MedComms specialists chatting about career options. Always great fun!
Looking ahead, our next open careers event is back in Manchester on 13 September. Registration is now open. Please spread the word. Note I've room for just a couple more agencies to participate, so contact me quickly to find out more details if interested.
Enjoy your week. Here's my recommended reading with your next coffee, from The Scholarly Kitchen last week; The BMJ's Patient Review Initiative - A Novel Expansion of Peer Review.
